As Ian Poulter so eloquently put, "You picked a hell of a year to start following the PGA Tour." And boy, is he right.
Going back to last season, fans were made a aware that a Netflix series was being made about the PGA Tour. What that consisted of and who exactly was participating, we weren't 100% sure about, but Netflix just dropped the trailer for Full Swing and it has some of the biggest players in the game - Justin Thomas, Jordan Smith, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, Brooks Koepka and Ian Poulter. I'm sure I probably missed some, but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head.
This is going to be an eight-episode series, premiering on February 15, and is going to show a behind-the-scenes look at PGA tournaments, wins and losses and what it takes to make it on the tour. Full Swing is going to show an inside look at the biggest tournaments from last year - the Masters, PGA Championship and the 150 Open at St. Andrews, just to name a few.
This isn't said in Netflix's description of Full Swing, but I would imagine we're also going to be hearing a bit of the LIV Golf tour and those that chose to split from the PGA Tour.
In all honestly, I'm looking forward to seeing this series, but hopefully it's not too drama filled with PGA Tour vs LIV Golf. We do hear Rory McIlroy comment, “If I want the game that I love to be played by future generations, the game needs to be pushed forward."
It should be interesting. Check out the trailer below.
