Scottie Scheffler's rise to World #1

My #2 moment of 2022 features the former world #1. Think about this for a second - this time last year, you only (really) knew Scottie Scheffler for his performance for US in the Ryder Cup. Then, on February 13, 2022, he beat Patrick Cantlay in a playoff to win the WM Phoenix Open - his first ever PGA Tour victory. A few weeks later, he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Two weeks later, he won the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and became the number 1 player in the world…in just 42 days.

If that doesn't impress you, think of it this way: from Tiger's first PGA tour win to becoming world number 1, it took 252 days. If you don't feel like doing the math, don't worry. It took Scottie Scheffler 210 days fewer than TIGER WOODS. Craziness.

Scheffler would go on the win the Masters - even his 4 putt on 18 didn't stop him. What a few weeks.

He may not have won again in 2022, but I promise you this…we have not seen his last victory. It was 2 months, with 4 wins, that will only kick start many, many more victories.

Tomorrow, my number 1 moment of 2022. You can probably guess what it is.
